MS, CMC, RG

 

Care For Life was founded in 1995 by Mary Peters, President, MS, CMC, RG. Care For Life provides Geriatric Care Management for the elderly in Charleston, South Carolina.

Ms. Peters has worked in healthcare for thirty years as an occupational therapist, federal lobbyist for Medicare and Medicaid issues, and hospital administration. Ms. Peters is a Certified Care Manager and a Registered Guardian with the National Guardianship Foundation. Her dedication in working with the elderly has led her to serve on the Coalition for Successful Aging of the South Carolina Lieutenant Governor’s Office on Aging.

Mary Peters’ recent speaking engagements have included the S. C. White House Conference on Aging and at the Health & Wellness Conference of the Charleston Area Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Peters is a regular lecturer on Geriatric Care Management and Employee Assistance Programs.

Care For Life has hosted a live talk radio show “Senior Focus” since 2002 and is the only talk radio show in the Charleston area that educates and informs the 50+ population on how to live longer and better in South Carolina. “Senior Focus” airs every other Saturday morning from 9-10 a.m. on NewsTalk 1250 WTMA (am dial) or can be listened through www.WTMA.com (Senior Focus).

Ms. Peters’ has completed five triathlons and is currently training for a century bike ride in Spring 2006.
