Founder of Care for Life

Care For Life was founded in 1995 by Mary E. Peters.

Ms. Peters has been a healthcare professional for thirty-plus years. She began her career as an Occupational Therapist and was soon recruited as a Federal Lobbyist in Washington, DC, for Medicare and Medicaid issues.

Ms. Peters is a nationally Certified Care Manager and a Registered Guardian with the National Guardianship Foundation. She is a long time member of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers.

Her dedication to the causes affecting the elderly led her to serve on the Coalition for Successful Aging of the South Carolina Lieutenant Governor’s Office on Aging. Mary is a strong advocate for new legislation regarding Licensure of Home Care Providers in South Carolina.

Ms. Peters’ speaking engagements have included the S. C. White House Conference on Aging and at the Health & Wellness Conference of the Charleston Area Chamber of Commerce.
